Consultation and garden design services for homeowners, with flexible options for those who want to start small, as well as those who are ready to redesign their entire property.

Consultation Services
Initial Phone Call
- Phone call to hear about your project and determine if we should schedule an on site visit and/or begin the design process.
- No cost
On Site Visit
- Two hours of on site walk through and discussion, where we talk about your goals, what is going well, what to change, and how I can help you achieve your goals.
- Cost: $200
Other Consultations and Specialized Maintenance
- Edible vegetable, herb, and fruit planting plan, pruning and maintenance training, and plant shopping assistance.
- Seasonal pruning coaching.
- Review and editing of a mature garden.
- Cost: $100/hour
Landscape Design
- A detailed and comprehensive design for either a portion of a yard or an entire yard based on a full assessment of your goals, privacy needs, all layers of plants, from tree canopies and shrubs to ground-covers and bulbs, year-round interest, watering needs, and a multitude of additional design considerations.
- Includes the opportunity for you to review two preliminary concept sketches before deciding on final design concepts.
- You will receive a detailed, to scale, digitally hand-drawn design, in addition to a detailed plant list and a plant photo reference sheet.
Cost: Depends on scope of project, often falls in the range of $1,000-$5,000.
Project Installation
- Install by a Landscape Contractor: I can recommendation a landscape contractor who can install the design for you. I can stay involved throughout the installation process to support you and ensure the design is installed as detailed in the landscape design plan.
- Install by Me: I can procure and install the plant portion of your design for you. Note: Nuthatch Garden Design does not install hardscaping such as patios or retaining walls, although I can recommend landscape contractors who do this type of work.
- Homeowner DIY: If you are installing the design yourself, I can provide you with additional resources to make the installation process go smoothly and increase plant longevity.
Cost: Depends on scope of project. An estimate will be provided upon request after the final design is complete.
