Installation and Garden Stewardship

Project installation support for homeowners, regardless of whether you want to install the project yourself or hire a landscape contractor to install it for you:

Install by a Landscape Contractor: I can recommend a landscape contractor who can install the design for you and stay involved throughout the installation process to support you and ensure the design is installed as detailed in the landscape design plan.

Homeowner DIY: If you are installing the design yourself, I can provide you with additional resource information to make the installation process go smoothly and increase plant longevity, as well as deliver the plants on your plant list.

Garden Stewardship and Pruning:

Periodic visits to thoughtfully refine and guide designed gardens. May include selective fine pruning, editing plant communities, and supporting the long-term ecological health of the landscape.

Cost: Depends on scope of project. An estimate will be provided upon request after the final design is complete.

I moved into my house a year ago and needed a full landscape redesign. Becky at Nuthatch Garden Design had a real vision for my yard, incorporating my own favorite plants with her suggestions for native planting, year round color and interest, and what would do best in the different areas of my yard.

The overall result was beautiful with each area naturally flowing into the next. I now have curved pathways, a honeysuckle climbing over an arbor, and gorgeous plantings that flourished in the heat of summer. We were looking to update our hardscape and planting design on our home of 30+ years. We had tried to refine and elevate the design on our own, but learned that we needed help. Becky worked with us on both front and backyard updates.

Becky was wonderful! She took all of our thoughts and turned it into a plan that we could picture.

We appreciated the different options for levels of service - for us, having a consultation and a draft plan was perfect for us to get the ball rolling.

Becky was able to answer our questions and weigh in on why certain plants were better than others and what would suit our needs the best.

Design Plan for DIY Homeowner

My husband and I worked with Becky over the last 6 months to design our front and back yards. We're new homeowners and the landscaping of our house is a disaster of weeds and inappropriately placed plants.

Becky walked us through what all the random plants in our yard are and what we should keep or lose. Then she listened to all of our wants, dreams, and favorite colors and designed a beautiful landscaping plan.

For us, we weren't looking for a full "to-scale" design, but rather ideas for design and plant suggestions that would look good and be functional in our yard. Becky followed up after our in-person consultation with a thoughtful email filled with additional plant ideas to give us even more options. Design and Install Support for Courtyard

Becky was wonderful to work with on a very small, but challenging courtyard.
